This Pope is actually ridiculous..

It’s great people are opting for pets – especially dogs – over children.

With a planet holding 7 Billion people or so …

I guess he is especially more concerned about predominantly Catholic countries –

less Children means a smaller Flock …

Chinese, Bangladeshi, Indian children won’t add to the Flock anyways, unless oppressed by their Misery they turn to rice put out by missionaries to help them be “redeemed” . And in my book that is just fine .. but the root cause – lots of children – is not . Certainly not.

Which is why, that missionary Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu self styled Theresa wanted people in India to keep pumping out children …

These devout impractical people of the cloth just Love it when the Misery Index shoots up and away and people cry out in pain (and in vain) to an indifferent God ..who promised that the poorest will inherit heaven

probably to enable law and order 🤷‍♂️?

This Pope’s Latam is a great example- teeming with people – in extreme poverty – but all Faithful … exactly what he wants.

It used to be similar in Ireland some centuries back, and in one book this character excoriates the Church’s avarice in the face of the abject poverty ..to the chagrin of the local priest..
Today with a reduced population Irish are wealthy and probably pet owners …which troubles such Popes.

Another strike against pet owners – they are probably well educated and wealthy – independent thinkers

not the kind who are too devout and tithe paying type then ..
